This Privacy Policy explains how Sun Service ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the YoutilityKnock mobile and web application (the "App"). YoutilityKnock is a business tool used by door-to-door sales and canvassing teams. Accounts are provisioned by your employer or organization (the "Company"); the App is not available for consumer self-registration.

The short version. We collect the information your Company needs to run its field operation — your account profile, the leads and notes you record, and your device location while you are actively working. We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data for advertising.

1. Information we collect

Account information — your name, email address, role, and the Company you belong to. Created by your Company administrator.
Location data — while you use the App's map and knocking features, we collect your device's precise location to show nearby homes, confirm that a knock happened on-site, and plot your activity. Location is collected only while the App is in use; we do not track you in the background.
Field activity you create — leads, homeowner details you enter, dispositions, notes, photos you attach (e.g. of a home or utility bill), and the territories and shifts you work.
Device & usage data — basic technical information such as device type, app version, and diagnostic logs used to keep the App running reliably.

2. How we use information

To provide the App's core features — mapping, lead capture, routing, scheduling, and reporting — to you and your Company.
To attribute the work you do to your account so your Company can manage territories, teams, and performance.
To secure accounts, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot problems.
To comply with legal obligations.

We do not use your information for third-party advertising, and we do not sell or rent it.

3. Permissions we request

Location — to show nearby homes and confirm on-site knocks. You can deny or revoke this in your device settings; the map and location features will be limited without it.
Camera & Photos — to let you attach a photo to a lead (e.g. the home or a utility bill). Used only when you choose to add a photo.

4. How information is shared

Your data is visible to authorized users within your Company according to its reporting hierarchy (for example, your managers can see the leads you create). We share information only with:

Your Company, which controls your account and its data.
Service providers who host the App on our behalf — principally Google Firebase (authentication, database, hosting, and cloud functions). These providers process data under contract and only to deliver the service.
Legal authorities, when required by law.

5. Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service to your Company. When your Company deactivates your account or asks us to delete data, we remove or anonymize it within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law.

6. Security

Data is encrypted in transit and protected by Firebase Authentication and server-side security rules that isolate each Company's data. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information using industry-standard safeguards.

7. Your choices & rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us or your Company administrator. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA. We honor those rights and will not discriminate against you for exercising them.

8. Children

YoutilityKnock is a workplace tool intended for adults. It is not directed to children and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, by an in-app notice.
